MOVEA’S GENERAL MANAGER BRYAN HOADLEY TO SPEAK AT MEMS EXECUTIVE CONGRESS 2010

Milpitas, CA, November 4, 2009 – Bryan Hoadley, Executive Vice President and General Manager of
Movea, Inc., will participate as a panelist at this week’s MEMS Executive Congress at The Lodge at
Sonoma in Sonoma, CA. The panel, entitled Next Generation MEMS in Consumer Electronics, takes place
on Friday, November 6 and examines how MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) technology is
changing the user‐interface experience in a wide range of consumer goods. Enabling the end‐user to
activate controls with human motion as opposed to pressing a button, MEMS technology can enhance a
range of products from cameras to smart phones to game controllers.
Movea utilizes high performance, motion‐sensing MEMS in its family of next‐generation user interface
devices and proprietary motion‐sensing solutions. These include its consumer range of Gyration Air
Mouse products, which allow consumers to use a PC mouse in the air as well as on a desktop, and the
MotionPod™ solution for accurate human body orientation measurement, which is used in the
healthcare industry.
“This is an exciting time for the MEMS industry as we witness broad consumer acceptance of products
which use an increasing number of sensors to add value to the user experience in markets ranging from
consumer input devices to sports and healthcare,” said Mr. Hoadley. “Movea has been the pioneers of
motion‐control revolution since 1989, so I am honored to take part in the MEMS Executive Congress and
share our knowledge and explore what business opportunities there are for companies creating MEMSenabled
products.”
“At MEMS Executive Congress, leaders from the entire MEMS supply chain share innovations with each
other and with their OEM customers,” said Karen Lightman, managing director of MEMS Industry Group,
the host organization of MEMS Executive Congress. “Through this fertile exchange, they form new
business relationships, strengthen existing partnerships and inspire the creative thought that will
continue to drive our industry forward. In fact, I know of several partnerships that were first launched in
casual discussions during the coffee and cookie breaks at the Congress.”
In its fifth year, MEMS Executive Congress draws together business leaders from a broad spectrum of
industries (automotive, consumer goods, industrial, medical, telecom, and more). The Congress provides
end users and MEMS companies a forum to interact and share experiences relating to the
commercialization of MEMS.
About Movea, Inc.
Movea, Inc. is the U.S. wholly owned subsidiary of Movea SA, a spin‐off from the French research
institute CEA‐Léti. In December 2007, Movea, acquired all assets of Gyration, Inc. to compliment and
expand both companies` motion‐sensing technology to benefit consumers worldwide in home
entertainment, gaming, healthcare, mobile phone and computer input devices. Movea’s consumer
products, including Gyration`s range of controllers for the digital media markets, remain under the
Gyration brand name. Movea offers products through traditional retail consumer electronics stores,
value added resellers, system integrators and OEM partners. Additional information about Movea and
its range of Gyration consumer electronics products can be found at www.movea.com and

About MEMS Executive Congress
MEMS Executive Congress is an annual event that brings together business leaders from a broad
spectrum of industries: automotive, consumer goods, energy/environmental, industrial, medical and
telecom. It is a unique professional forum at which executives from companies designing and
manufacturing MEMS technology sit side‐by‐side with their end‐user customers in panel discussions and
networking events to exchange ideas and information about the use of MEMS in commercial
applications.
Sponsors of MEMS Executive Congress 2009 include: A.M. Fitzgerald & Associates, Analog Devices, EV
Group, Fab Owners Association, Freescale Semiconductor, Micralyne, Okmetic, Surface Technology
Systems (STS), STMicroelectronics, SVTC and Tegal Corporation.
MEMS Executive Congress will be held November 4‐6, 2009 at the Lodge at Sonoma in Sonoma, CA. For
